FOLSOM PINHOLE LEAK COMPLAINANT SURVEY
Litigation is currently pending in Sacramento County Superior Court in the action entitled Harold Malmquist v. The City of Folsom, Case No. 34-2021-00297646-CU-PO-GDS. In the Malmquist action, Plaintiffs’ theory of liability is that the City’s corrosive water caused damage to all copper pipes receiving the water, including causing corrosive pitting and pinhole leaks. The City denies all liability and contends that the cause of copper pipe pinhole leaks was not corrosive water, but instead was due to poor workmanship during initial installation of the copper pipes.
Plaintiff’s attorneys are continuing to gather relevant information relating to the cause of the copper pipe pinhole leaks, including information from persons who have reported leaks to the City since June, 2020.
